Sagar condition is in critical condition as his severe jaundice still  persisting and sometimes he going in to unconscious state.Doctors saying if this condition persists then any thing will happen in 2 weeks as yesterdays reports showing the CMV virus again attacked on his body . They are saying it is very difficult to bring back him to normal as his GVHD was still in stage-4 state

As of 6/20/2008

Sagar condition is not good, his GVHD still persists. His abdomen GVHD decreased but his liver GVHD(liver was not functioning properly). From this he got severe jaundice. Doctors are trying their level best to decrease this.Right now he is looking very sick and he won't have energy even to talk.Post BMT first 100 days was critical to  most patients and we are hoping he will  cross this threshold period.

As of 6/17/2008

- Sagar is stable and is recovering from severe GVHD symptoms he had last week.

- As of now he is not allowed to consume food orally

- His digestive system isn't healing well

- He is getting treated and hopes to recover well this week

As of 6/6/2008

- Sagar is undergoing treatment again for severe symptoms he had last few days

- Has severe GVHD symptoms and severe infection in stomach

As of 5/27/08

- Sagar is doing well and stable as of now

- Has symptoms of diarohhea

- Doctors are expecting to see some side effects of GVHD

- Once doctors see those side effects, the operation is heading in the right direction

As of  5/19/08 

- Sagar  is stable and has less heamoglobin

- Has picked up on his digestive system

- Doctor has suggested to wait for 100 days to confirm his post BMT operation effects

- His cell count is 5000, platelets 1.98lak and hemoglobin 8.7

As of  5/06/08 

- Sagar is slowly recovering right now and is stable

-His blood count is 7600 and platelet count 180000

-From Monday(5/5) onwards they have stopped TPN(food   packet) and after nearly 40 days he is taking food orally

-His digestive system doing fine and he has no vomittings after taking the food

-Now he is taking rice,dal,rasam, fruit juice and Ice creams orally as input.

As of  5/01/08 

- Sagar is slowly recovering right now

- Initial biopsy results reveal that his cell count increased to 5500 and platelet count to 80,000

- Lung infection reduced but has gastric-esophageal reflux trouble

- Vomitting @ 3-4 times a day persists and has symptoms of diarohhea

- Symptoms of GVHD(backbone pain, itcvhing etc) being experienced

- Another biopsy is scheduled next week

As of  4/25/08 

 - Sagar is in stable condition right now

- His cell count is 2600 and steady, his platelet count is at             50,000, lung infection decresed a bit

- There is a minor infection in mouth and blasts decreased to 8% but should have been 0% after post BMT

- Few cancer cells are expected to remain in his bone marrow

- A biopsy is scheduled in 2 days for better analysis

As of  4/21/08 

-His count (WBC) has been increaed to 2000+ from 1000

- Sagar condition is stable as of today

- He is still trying to recover from BMT and lung infection

As of  4/17/08

 - Sagar was induced with granulocytes, had fever of 101

 - Many of his friends donated blood (close to 12 persons)

- His lung infection hasn' reduced much

- He is trying to recover from BMT (performed on 4/11/08)

- Doctors are waiting to see his body produce his own cells

As of 4/5/08

-Now the doctors are waiting  for the home cells to grow for Sagar    after the BMT. The doctors are expecting he might get severe GVHD(Graft-Versus-Host-Disease)  problems.

The doctors have completed two rounds of BMT for Sagar in two days

The chemotherpy is stopped. After the Chemo they did the biopsy and the blast has come down from 94%  to 64%

-After the Granulocyte transfusion, Sagar is little active. He called his grand parents and relatives today to convey his Ugadi (Telugu new year) Wishes.

-Granulocytes are transfused on April 6 and 7

-Currently undergoing Chemotherapy.

-Doctors collecting Granulocytes from donors which needs to be injected to Sagar before BMT.There is difficulty in finding the Granulocyte Donors, the current plan is to collect the Granulocytes by Sunday evening.

- Treatment planned is Chemotherpy(currently under going) followed by Granulocyte Transfusion (April 06, 07)  followed by BMT.

-BMT planned for 11-April-2008
